Stewardship

Generosity is Essential To a Healthy, Meaningful Life

We recognize one of the great truths of all the world's religions: generosity is central to a healthy life.

Giving of time, talent or funds strengthens life's meaning.  Our mission and vision call upon us to welcome the stranger, to share our resources, and to care for our planet. This is stewardship.

Each Unitarian Universalist congregation is self-supporting.  Our members provide time, talent, and funds to sustain UUCQC.  We know that if this congregation is to be here for our children and grandchildren, we must support it now.

Opportunities for contributing time and talent to the congregation are listed here (link to "Get Involved").  FAQs about supporting the congregation with funds are listed below.

Want to Help?

The Stewardship Team is a  year-round team which models and focuses the congregation on year-round generosity, be it time, talent, or treasure. Team members:
  • Are active and intentional stewards, modeling good and responsible stewardship
  • Plan and establish a year-round, comprehensive stewardship program
  • Plan and implement the annual budget drive campaign, which reflects the Congregation’s mission, vision, and priorities
  • Gather financial commitments from congregants, including new members
  • Provide regular updates to the congregation about stewardship, needs, and giving levels
  • Express appreciation and affirmation to all givers for their contributions

We also have a great deal of fun while we’re at it!  And we welcome newcomers. Interested in helping with fundraisers? Click here for more information.

Our Stories

"All our best friends are here—we met them here or we’ve drawn them here and we can’t imagine life without these incredible people. This church has become the center of our lives, a symbol of our identity, an association that we’re proud of. That’s why I chose to volunteer to be the Board of Trustees Vice Chair"
