Additional Spiritual Practices
Drum CircleMeets first Sunday of every month. You might want to bring a drum, rattle and/or other sound instruments. There are extras of everything listed so these are suggestions only.
The first beat of this monthly Quad-Cities event hit the scene late in the summer of 2014. Within a few months, what was once a small group of drum enthusiasts has swelled to a group of 40 + drummers, enthusiasts and newcomers. It is open to all with a special invitation to children and their parents. Should you wish to use our babysitting service, please call the office by noon on the Thursday immediately preceding that first Sunday. Call 563-359-0816 or email office@uucqc.org. |

Meditation
Join us for silence, stillness, sitting, walking, breathing, being mindfully present and connected. We meet on Tuesdays from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Please arrive 5 minutes early and dress comfortably. We share brief readings on mindfulness and we end by jointly wish loving kindness, peace, wellness and happiness to ourselves and others.
Spiritual Conversations
How do you define spirituality? What is a spiritual practice? What practices have you tried? The Spiritual Conversations group has been meeting to share around these questions. Some questions and topics suggested for future discussion include:
- What is the purpose of being?
- What has transformed you and/or your life?
- If you are spiritual does that mean you believe in “supernatural” things?
