Adult RE and Enrichment Opportunities

UUCQC has a variety of activities, classes, and groups for adults:
  • Visitors may want to attend our UU 101 class to learn more about us, our congregation's history and Unitarian Universalism.
  • Members and friends may want to check out our Short Term Religious Ed Classes that change seasonally.
  • We have two book clubs that meet regularly. The Happy Human book club focuses on Humanist topics and (as the name suggests) the Lesbian Book club is a woman-only club and focuses on Lesbian literature (both fiction and non-fiction).
  • If you would like to listen to listen to guest speakers discuss various topics, you may be interested in our weekly Forums.
  • If you are looking for a deeper connection with other individuals in our congregation, you may be interested in joining one of our Connection Circles which are confidential, small discussion groups.
  • Those who are interested in exploring their spirituality should look into our Spiritual Practices and Programs including our Spiritual Practice group and our Meditation group.

We invite you to attend any of these that interest you.  All (with the exception of the Lesbian Book Club) are open to anyone who wishes to attend.

Our Stories
I attended the “Cakes for the Queen of Heaven” adult education offering. It was not the study of women’s theology that was so important for me, but the involvement in the women’s support group that was on offshoot of the class. It was a time to get to know other women in the group ‐ much like the connection circles that are offered now. I felt a part of the community and developed friendships that influenced who I am today. I felt supported, accepted, and loved by these women. It was easy for me to be with them and to share with them my trials and my joys.
