Board of Trustees – Elected by Congregation

Our congregation has ultimate authority over itself. Our Board of Trustees works to bring the mission and vision of the congregation to life. It serves as the executive power, always subject to the ultimate control of the congregation.

The Board:
  • Articulates and advances the Congregation’s Mission and Vision;
  • Sets goals and makes strategic choices;
  • Establishes written policies to guide the Congregation’s ministry; and
  • Monitors and evaluates the Congregation’s leadership, including itself.

The Board is made up of seven Trustees serving overlapping two-year terms, a Clerk, and a Treasurer, who are elected each May at our Annual Congregational Meeting. It is responsible for the general well-being of the church and its property, conducting business affairs and addressing financial concerns as they arise.

Board meetings are open to anyone who wants to attend. Please view our calendar to see when meetings are scheduled. Any member wishing to bring a matter to the attention of the Board of Trustees may speak with the Chair who sets the meeting agenda. Agendas are distributed to members a minimum of 5 days prior to each meeting. Minutes can be reviewed by contacting the office.

We will do this by:
  • addressing institutional and systemic racism and other forms of oppression,
  • promoting environmental justice to protect Earth from the climate crisis,
  • focusing on sustainable financial health, and
  • improving communication with teams, members, and other groups within our community.
