"Former member Frank was my Catholic 10th grade biology teacher. When in college I came here to visit and Frank met me at the door.  Frank said when Jesus was God, he couldn't hope to be like him. But if Jesus was a man, then any man could be that good and he could try. He said giving up Christianity was like being left with a big black hole that fills in fuller than anything I could imagine. Frank didn't abandon the myth of Jesus, he gave it new meaning. He didn't pass on an empty box (a big black hole) to me, he passed on a container to fill.
