Immigration Project

PicturePhoto by Nitish Meena
Resolution approved by the congregation at the Annual Meeting in May of 2017:

We encourage and support Federal Immigration Reform that treats families and individuals with compassion.  We deplore detention and deportation of non-criminal immigrants.  We call upon ICE (U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement) and the U.S. Federal Court system to act with consistency and humanity in all Immigration Status cases.  We look for ways to encourage and support newer immigrants and refugees in our community.  We also look for opportunities here and abroad to help make it possible for all people to stay in their homes as they desire but welcome those who flee violence or serious economic difficulties.
