Music

This Team and our Music Director provide beautiful, diverse and inspiring music to enhance our worship services, to foster the musical and spiritual development of participants and audience alike, to enrich our life both within our congregation and in the larger community, and to increase community ties.

Our Musical Groups Include:
  • Adult Choir — Meets every Wednesday from 5:45-6:45 p.m. (except during the summer)
  • Chimes Choir — Every Wednesday from 7-8:15 p.m.
  • UU Ukes -- Meets two Sundays prior to performance @ 11:15 a.m.
  • Children’s Choir — Second and fourth Sundays from 9:30-10 a.m. (except during the summer)
  • Soloists and Musicians — Individual arrangements for practice

All are welcome to join the church choir. Why sing in the church choir? The simplest reason, it gives pleasure! It can be powerful. It can put you in closer touch with your emotions, similar to crying or laughing.

 Our Stories
"10 years ago in 2003, I was in a slump, a part of life’s ups and downs. I was out of balance, putting too much energy into work and not enough into myself. My play therapy mentor asked me what I used to enjoy, that I wasn’t doing. The answer was singing. So I started on a search to find a place to sing and found the UUs. I joined the choir and by the time the next new member class came up, I knew that this was a place where I wanted to belong."
