Awaken the Heart: Cultivating Innate Goodness
The mind-heart of love, also called bodhicitta in Sanskrit, is the desire to awaken, to serve and relieve suffering. It is a tremendous source of energy for personal and collective awakening. Without it, we would not be drawn to spiritual practice or towards social transformation. We can learn to trust and cultivate our innate goodness, compassion, and insight.
In this day of mindfulness, we will explore the power of mindfulness to help us cultivate and trust the seeds of insight, love, and solidity that have been passed down to each one of us. We will take time to fully experience our bodies, hearts, and minds through mindful breathing, sitting, and walking meditation, mindful movement, group discussion, and creative expression through the improvisational forms of InterPlay, an active approach to unlocking the wisdom of the body (appropriate for all bodies and abilities).
