Spiritual Practices and ProgramsThis team is focused on exploring the first source of wisdom that Unitarian Universalism draws from which is:
Spiritual Conversations
How do you define spirituality? What is a spiritual practice? What practices have you tried? The Spiritual Conversations group has been meeting to share around these questions. Some questions and topics suggested for future discussion include:
Mindfulness and Meditation
Join us for silence, stillness, sitting, walking, breathing, being mindfully present and connected. We meet on Tuesdays from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Please arrive 5 minutes early and dress warmly. We share brief readings on mindfulness and we end by jointly wish loving kindness, peace, wellness and happiness to ourselves and others. Drumming Circle
Meets first Sunday of every month. You might want to bring a drum, rattle and/or other sound instruments. There are extras of everything listed so these are suggestions only. The first beat of this monthly Quad-Cities event hit the scene late in the summer of 2014. Within a few months, what was once a small group of drum enthusiasts has swelled to a group of 40 + drummers, enthusiasts and newcomers. Come and experience what it's all about! It is open to all with a special invitation to children and their parents. Should you wish to use our babysitting service, please call the office by noon on the Friday immediately preceding that first Sunday. |
