Youth Religious Education - Right NowA Voice For Progressive Religion
Embracing world religions, social action & environmental education The Mission of the Youth Religious Education Program is to nurture and stimulate our children’s spiritual and personal growth and to teach and model the values that hold us together as Unitarian Universalists. We teach our young people that Unitarian Universalism offers a way of living the best lives they possibly can. They can do this through exploration, responsible choosing, global citizenship and a sense of our spiritual connection with all that exists. We believe in acting on these values in daily living, and our youth come to understand the principles of our faith and to see the relevance of these principles in their own lives.
Our Religious Education program rotates yearly between 6 key themes: UU Principles, Judeo-Christian Heritage, Famous UU's/Social Justice, Living Traditions/Diversity, Connecting with the Earth/God Questions, UUPrinciples/Self-Concept. Groundbreaking for New Playground |
